Automotive Technology Program Receives National Certification

The automotive training program at Hamilton High School's Career Technical Education Department has received certification by NATEF and The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Absences - Excessive
When a student accumulates an excessive amount of absences (7%) or has an overall poor attendance record...

Absences - Excused
The following absences will be considered for approval as excused absences:

Absences - Unexcused/Truancy/Cutting Class/
A student will be considered truant if he/she is absent without knowledge or consent of parent.

Absences/Attendance
School hours are from 7:30am to 2:30pm.

Advisory Bell Schedule
The bell schedule for Advisory days is slightly different than the normal school day.

Advisory Program
The advisory program at Hamilton High School is designed to give each student a chance to build relationships with a diverse group of students and a faculty advisor.

Assembly Guidelines
1. Students will be called to the assembly by grade level

Behavioral Intervention Center (BIC)
The Behavioral Intervention Center is used as an alternative t out of school suspension.

Bus Regulations
Riding a school bus is a privilege.

Cafeteria Regulations
Hamilton High School operates a CLOSED LUNCH (soft drinks and food from restaurants are not to be ordered or brought in).

Change of Address
If at any time during the school year a change occurs in your home or business address or telephone number...

Co-Curricular Activities
All students are urged to participate in co-curricular activities. Students who are involved in activities at school generally show a greater pride in their school and are usually better citizens and students.

Fees - Advanced Placement Classes
According to school policy, all students in AP classes are required to take the AP exam

Fire and Tornado Drills
Fire and tornado drills are held at irregular intervals throughout the school year.

Free and Reduced Lunch
To apply for free and/or reduced lunches, parents must complete a Free and Reduced Priced Meals Application each school year.
